Something remarkable happened to me today!
I submitted a Houston Short Sale package to GMAC on Monday. Today, two days later, their negotiator called me, ready to get things moving...to include ordering the BPO (Broker's Price Opinion).
I wish other lenders would follow suit. It would make things so much easier for everyone involved in the transaction. It would also probably get more people interested in short sales, in lieu of shying away from them.
The length of time to close a short sale scares many potential buyers away. If other lenders follow suit with GMAC, perhaps we can get this housing situation straightened out sooner...rather than later.
